About.

A local's short list of Denmark, kept short on purpose.

I'm Emil. I live in Copenhagen, I eat out more than is sensible, and I spend my weekends in the parts of Denmark that visitors fly over. The Denmark Edit is the list I kept sending to friends who were coming over, turned into a map.

Every place here passes one test: would I send a friend there? If the answer is anything but yes, it doesn't go on the map. There are no scores and no rankings, because a list of places worth your time doesn't need them.

I pay for everything myself. Nobody has bought their way onto this map, and nobody can.

Working together

Restaurants, museums, hotels and destination teams get in touch about collaborations. Here is how that works.

I'll gladly visit, and if the place is good I'll say so in my own words. If it isn't, I won't post about it, and there's no fee to make that go away. Anything paid, gifted or hosted is marked as advertising, as Danish law requires, and the verdict stays mine either way.

For guides, itineraries, international audiences in English, Japanese and Chinese, or a question about the map, write to hello@thedenmarkedit.com.

Corrections

Opening hours change and restaurants close. If something on the map is wrong, I'd rather hear it than have you find out at the door: same address.
